This Friday April 29th Blake and I officially set up our horseshoe pits.

Backstops set in place, sand amended to the pit, stake set with a 3 inch lean, and then we played first official game of the season.

Game on!

Yard games add life to any landscape whether it be horseshoes, croquet, badminton, or any other game that brings family zest to the yard.

Consider setting aside a area in your landscape for ‘play’, and begin to create many family memories shared together.

  1. Haha! I haven’t seen a horseshoe game set up in someone’s backyard for years! It makes me happy to look at all your photos and see you guys having fun. I was just searching for yard games when I came across your site. Are you thinking about putting more in? I also found this other site called http://www.yardtoysonline.com that I think has pretty good stuff. I might get some yard toys for my small yard there. – Janie
