Measurements and photos are taken to aid with the design process back at her office. She also evaluates the soil, lighting, traffic patterns and surrounding environment. 

The consultation takes about 1-1½hrs and costs *$75. The fee includes on-site analysis, time and travel expenses.
*Additional fee for expenses when travel time exceeds one hour.

Design

Rachel uses the gathered information to create a custom landscape design for your location. In most cases the design fee is reduced because plants are laid out on site when Rachel installs or assists the homeowner in installation. This saves both paper and time! If requested, a paper design is available at additional cost.

Rachel then mails a cost estimate of the project which includes a list of plant materials, cost of plant materials, cost of installation materials (e.g. flagstone, paver sand, fertilizer, etc),  labor cost, installation cost, delivery cost and design fee. After going over your proposal, call Rachel to discuss any changes and set an installation date. 
Rachel works with you until you're satisfied!.

A one-half deposit is required upon acceptance to order your plants and  purchase any additional materials to begin your project.

Maintenance

The homeowner maintains the gardens or contacts Rachel for questions or assistance when needed. 

Garden Coaching

For first-time gardeners or experienced gardeners looking for a second opinion, Rachel comes to your site for a one-on-one gardening session. This is helpful if you need help with plant identification, design & layout ideas, plant recommendations, or plant care & maintenance instructions. 

Rachel answers your gardening and landscape questions (e.g., how and when to prune, fertilize, install, water and mulch your plant material) and demonstrates gardening techniques tailored specifically to your needs. Cost is $75/hr
