Rachel’s Client Garden photos contain both images scanned from photos of installations in the late 1990′s and early 2000′s (these images are smaller due to image resolution limits at the time) up to the most recent digital photos of her newest designs. You’ll see a variety of locations and garden sizes, from the simplest mailbox garden to gardens anchored with terraced retaining walls, flagstone pathways, wooden arbors and rustic trellises.
The common ingredient in Rachel’s Gardens is the use of perennials and natives in the garden with overlapping bloom times to provide seasonal color in the garden year after year. Woodland or shade gardens are also lush with native plants and perennials, and Rachel uses trees, shrubs, evergreens and vines throughout her gardens for shade, protection, colorful bloom and food sources for nature.
Homeowner personal preferences for mulch material, bed edging, plant selections and hardscape materials can be seen in the photos, testifying to Rachel’s ability to keep your desires in mind while designing a landscape that will bring you years of pleasure.
