Yesterday I gathered logs with mushrooms on them and with character, then found flagstone and granite to compliment the logs as I lined a path through a woodland garden. It seems to me that when we use natural materials on our landscape it provides a more serene sense as we stroll to enjoy Nature.
Along that thought of a ‘Natural look’ I pulled approx. 1,000 garlic mustard out of a woodland bed east of our house to preserve the native plants of trillium, bloodroot, trout lily and may apples. I enjoy Mother Nature’s original plan for our northwest Illinois woodlands.
