Hard to leave this morning… my own gardens are calling for me. My living arch that I rebuilt and surrounding gardens are coming alive with sweet woodruff, woodland phlox, wild columbine and 9 varieties of hostas and 3 varieties of ferns that I transplanted.
Heading on over to finish a retaining wall on a steep slope that goes down to the lake. (Hope I don’t slide on down!) I’ll add evergreens and ferns on the slope and fill the bottom area with daylillies: pinks and yellows.
I’m already thinking about ‘Catherine Woodbury’… she’s an elegant daylilly— a two-toned pink. You contrast her with yellow and she just stands right out. Take a peek at her: http://ow.ly/4Yfxo
